This scatter chart displays health expenditure per capita (current US$) against greenhouse gas emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, SF6) (Mt of CO2 equivalent) and is filtered where the country is the United States and the date is 2023. The data is about countries per year.

Legend

There are 4 fields used on this chart, including filters:

  • Date (year): Year period during which the metrics are collected.
  • Country: Name of country.
  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Co2, Ch4, N2o, Hfcs, Pfcs, Sf6) (Mt of CO2 equivalent): A measure of annual emissions of the six greenhouse gases (GHG) covered by the Kyoto Protocol (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphurhexafluoride (SF6)) from the energy, industry, waste, and agriculture sectors, standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values. This measure excludes GHG fluxes caused by Land Use Change Land Use and Forestry (LULUCF), as these fluxes have larger uncertainties. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
  • Health Expenditure Per Capita (current US$): Current expenditures on health per capita in current US dollars. Estimates of current health expenditures include healthcare goods and services consumed during each year.
